چکیده

Controlling Aedes aegypti mosquitoes with chemical insecticides causes resistance on humans, environmental residues, and contaminates food water. Polygala paniculata is a potential alternative to in controlling Ae. aegypti. This study aimed determine the effect of Insecticide Score P. extracts mortality based KT50. A total 20 for each concentration were used examine effectiveness 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% compared positive negative control four replications. The results showed that had an Aeaegypti mosquito mortality. There significant differences rate between concentrations (Kruskal-Wallis test, p = 0.001). Spearman Correlation test gave p-value 0.008 < 0.05. Similarly, there was weak but correlation plant extract (Spearman correlation: r +0.312, 0.008). 10% 15% KT50with Scores 1 2, respectively, implying both no knockdown effect. 20% KT50 3, indicating effect, whereas 5, signifying quick These show has time mosquitoes. Therefore, at use as bio-insecticide

Neuropeptidomics of the mosquito Aedes aegypti.

Neuropeptidomic data were collected on the mosquito Ae. aegypti, which is considered the most tractable mosquito species for physiological and endocrine studies. The data were solely obtained by direct mass spectrometric profiling, including tandem fragmentation, of selected tissues from single specimens, which yielded a largely complete accounting of the putative bioactive neuropeptides; trunc...

Free flight of the mosquito Aedes aegypti

1 Summary High speed video observations of free flying male Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, the dengue and yellow fever vector, along with custom measurement methods, enable measurement of wingbeat frequency, body position and body orientation of mosquitoes during flight. We find these mosquitoes flap their wings at approximately 850 Hz. We also generate body yaw, body pitch and wing deviation measur...

The mosquito Aedes aegypti (L.) leucokinin receptor is a multiligand receptor for the three Aedes kinins.

A cDNA cloned from Aedes aegypti (L.) (Aedae) female Malpighian tubule (AY596453) encodes a 584 amino acid residue protein (65.2 kDa) predicted as a G protein-coupled receptor and orthologue of the drosokinin receptor from Drosophila melanogaster and highly similar to the tick Boophilus microplus myokinin receptor (AF228521). Based on the similarity to this Aedes sequence, we also propose a cor...

Chemical and biological insecticides select distinct gene expression patterns in Aedes aegypti mosquito.

Worldwide evolution of mosquito resistance to chemical insecticides represents a major challenge for public health, and the future of vector control largely relies on the development of biological insecticides that can be used in combination with chemicals (integrated management), with the expectation that populations already resistant to chemicals will not become readily resistant to biologica...
